The Lifetime Powertrain Warranty at Kia of Frisco provides long-term protection for your vehicle's most vital components, giving you confidence on every drive.

Effective Date: Coverage begins the day you purchase your vehicle.

Term & Mileage: Enjoy unlimited years and unlimited miles of protection for as long as you own the vehicle.

Deductible: Each covered repair visit requires only a $100 deductible.

Eligibility: Available on new Kia models as well as used off-brand (non-Kia) vehicles with 75,000 miles or less at the time of purchase.
This complimentary coverage ensures your engine, transmission, and drivetrain are protected for the lifetime of your ownership, offering unmatched value and peace of mind.
This warranty is non-transferrable and will expire if the vehicle is sold, traded, or totaled.

Coverages & Exclusions
What's Covered (Powertrain)
- Engine Components (e.g. crankshaft, pistons, timing chain, oil pump, turbocharger, mounts)
- Transmission/Transaxle (e.g. torque converter, gears, valve body, solenoids, mounts)
- Drive Axle (e.g. differential, CV joints, wheel bearings, prop shafts, U-joints)
- Additional Hybrid/EV Components (e.g. motor, generator, control computer)
- Fluids needed due to a covered repair
Exclusions (What's Not Covered)
- Any part not specifically listed as covered
- Damage from accidents, misuse, abuse, or negligence
- Aftermarket modifications, racing, or commercial use
- Repairs covered under the manufacturer's warranty or recalls
- Routine maintenance, wear-and-tear (e.g., oil consumption, burnt valves)
- Issues due to contamination, lack of oil/coolant, or overheating
- Non-covered part failure causing breakdown
- Shop supplies, diagnostic charges, or disposal fees
Owner Responsibilities & The Claims Process
Owner Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicle per the manufacturer's schedule
- Keep all service records/receipts
- Stop driving immediately if a mechanical issue arises
- Contact FWS before repairs (unless emergency)
- Allow FWS to inspect the vehicle/parts if requested
The Claims Process
- Return vehicle to dealer or call FWS: 1-800-327-5172
- Get authorization before the repair
- Provide teardown authorization if needed
- Submit claim & documentation within 30 days
- Retain replaced parts for inspection
